Configuring an email server
Before you begin
To send email, you must define an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server.
This task requires that you are an HCL™ Accelerate administrator.
About this task
You can set up a mail server for sending notifications and email.
Procedure
- On the HCL™ Accelerate dashboard, click .
- Click Configure email server.

In the Email server window, in the Mail server host
field, enter the mail server URL.
For example,
smtp.gmail.com
. - In the Port field, enter the mail server port number.
- Optional: If you want to secure your email communication, check Secure mail server connection.
- In the Mail server user name field, enter the email user account name.
- In the Mail server password field, enter the user account password.
- In the Mail server sender name field, enter the mail server sender name.
- In the Mail server address field, enter the mail server address name.

Click Save.
Note: To delete the email settings, click Delete Settings.
